Our mission is to equip the next generation of minority students in STEM with the tools necessary to succeed.

Our Origins

  • In June 2024, the Technology Outreach Foundation (TOF) was founded by two aspiring STEM professionals, experiencing the same gaps in access to education and resources that TOF aims to solve now. In 2025, TOF found its very first cohort of 9 students in the STEM Accelerator (previously known as the Cohort Program), who attended Middle College High School in Memphis, Tennessee. All 9 students received laptops, ACT tutoring, and college counseling. These same students now attend universities such as the University of Notre Dame, Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University, the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, and more.
  • TOF also began interviewing incredibly hardworking minority students at prestigious universities to get a deeper look into how these students got there. They included these videos as part of their Leadership Outreach program, which highlights outstanding minority students who’ve bridged the gap between STEM education and access to resources.

Our Present

  • In 2026, TOF accepted its next cohort of 4 students for the STEM Accelerator program, who also received laptops, ACT tutoring, and college counseling.
  • As TOF’s founders continued on to college, they began to include STEM professionals in their Leadership Outreach series.
  • Recognizing that they needed more firepower if they wanted the work of TOF to scale, Andrew and Hakim began searching for new leaders to join them. At the end of this process, TOF gained a Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Technology Officer. This core group of leaders is now hard at work to expand TOF’s impact nationwide and develop innovative solutions to our programs.

Our Future

  • The vision of TOF has never changed. We see a world where everyone has equitable access to education and the resources necessary to chase their dreams. To accomplish this vision, we need your help. Our current plans include:
  • Building a new learning management system to practice the ACT, college counseling, and lessons from Leadership Outreach
  • Real volunteers. ACT Tutors and College Counselors for students to schedule meetings with
  • Creating a new student organization, coming to a college campus near you
  • To see our vision come to fruition, we need your help. If you’re interested in volunteering, being interviewed, starting a new organization on your college campus, or donating, don’t hesitate to reach out. We can't wait to hear from you!
